This article describes how to upload order status information to the SAGE Order Tracking System so that distributors can see real-time order status from SAGE Workplace Windows app and SAGE Workplace mobile app.
Methods to Add Information:
There are two ways that suppliers can add order tracking information to the system:
1. Using SAGE Connect
See SAGE Connect Developer's Guide for more information. SAGE Connect is a full-featured application programming interface (API) for integration with SAGE’s back-end services. The API allows suppliers to upload order status information to SAGE for distributors to see real-time on SAGE Workplace Windows app.
2. Using the SAGE Supplier Center to add information manually
The SAGE Supplier Center contains an easy-to-use order tracking entry area where you can enter order status information. This is ideal for customer service personnel to easily update status information on the fly. This is also the preferred route if you do not have a separate system that already contains order tracking information. If you have a back-end system that already has order status information, consider using the Supplier Direct Connect avoid double-entry and time delays. 2a. You may enter your order tracking information directly into SAGE Supplier Center by clicking on "Order Tracking" from the main menu. Click Add New Order (or double-click an existing order) and use the form to enter order tracking information.

Once your order status information is in our system, it can be viewed by your customers directly from SAGE Online. All your customer needs to do is add their customer # to the "My Customer Number" field for your company in SAGE Online. Once that is added, they will have access to all orders matching that customer number that you've uploaded. Distributors can also use our alerting system in SAGE Online to receive instant alerts when the status changes for an order.
