Stripe and Visa/MasterCard Requirements For E-commerce Sites

Issue:

After applying for Payment Processing services, you may receive an email stating your website requires refund/exchange/cancellation policies (sometimes referred to as "fulfillment policies") and a secure checkout page as required by card networks (Visa/Master/etc.) as well as specific requirement from Stripe. 

Solution:

Note: The information below assumes you are hosting your site through the SAGE e-commerce services.  If you have a website through another provider, or we have built you a custom website, you should contact your web designer with this information.

Adding Refund, Exchange, and Privacy policy:

1.  Since the refund/exchange/privacy policy is unique to your company, we do not automatically include this information on your site.  Typically you would add this information to a custom page.

2.  Log in www.sagemember.com, then click Site/Store Selector,  then click "Select for Editing" next to the site you want to edit. 

3.  In the left hand menu, click "Website" to expand the menu.  Go to Pages & Navigation and create a new page with the destination set to a custom page.

4.  Create your page with your refund/exchange/cancellation/privacy policies using the page builder (see sample text in "More Info" below, and see https://youtu.be/vobhkMCsasg for a page builder tutorial video).

Confirming compliance:

After adding your policies you may respond to the email from our processing provider (if you received email requesting this information), pointing out where to find the information on your site. 

Also review the following on your site before responding to the email. 

1. Under Website | Access & Security, make sure your site is set to Active, and scroll down and set "Use Full Site SSL" to Yes.

2. Under Website | Contact Info, be sure to complete your information.

3. Under Website | Site Settings |Home Page tab, set "Show Credit Card Logos" to Yes, and figure the card types you will accept under Website | Cart Settings | Forms of Payment Accepted.

4. The SAGE Virtual Terminal supports AVS and CCV by default, and secure checkout by default no changes are necessary.

Returns/Refund/Exchange Policy:

We offer a 30 day Money Back Guarantee. No returns will be accepted after 30 days from receipt of order. Please contact our customer service team in advance to obtain an RMA number (Return Merchandise Authorization).  Any returned merchandise sent without a RMA number or after 30 days will not be accepted.

Please check your order for defects on arrival.  We are unable to accept returns on custom imprinted promotional items. Returns on undamaged blank items my require restocking fee. In event you receive defective, damaged, misprinted, or incorrect merchandise, please contact our customer service team immediately.
