Enabling Cookies On Mobile Devices

Issue:

When using SAGE Workplace mobile app, it initially accepts your login but after clicking one of the menu options, such as Product Search, you are just returned to the login screen.

Solution:

This is usually an indication that your device is not accepting cookies.

iPhone

1.  Go to the Home screen by pressing the Home button or by unlocking your phone.

2.  Select the Settings icon.

3.  Select Safari from the Settings menu.

4.  Select Accept Cookies from the Safari menu.

5.  Select "From visited" from the Accept Cookies menu.

6.  Press the Home button to return the the iPhone home screen.

7.  Select the Safari icon to return to Safari.

8.  Before the cookie settings change will take effect, Safari must restart. To restart Safari press and hold the Home button (for around five seconds) until the iPhone display goes blank and the home screen appears.

9.  Select the Safari icon to return to Safari.

Android Phones

1.  If your web browser is not already running, you need to start it by selecting the Browser application on your phone.

2.  Once the web browser is started, push the “Menu” button on your phone. This brings up the options for the current application that is running. In this case, the “Go”, “Bookmarks”, “New window”, “Refresh”,”Forward” and “More” options will become available. Select on the “More” option.

3.  Under the “More” option, you can now select some of the web browser functions. Select the “Settings” function.

4.  The “Settings” functions is where you will find most of the options to control the Android web browser. Scroll down until you find the “Accept cookies” option.  Selecting on the box will put a green check mark and enable cookies for the web browser.


Other Smart Phones
Try one of the these options.

1.  Contact your provider's support and ask them for instructions.

2.  Try searching the internet for "xxxxxxx enable cookies" (without quotes, where xxxxxxx is the model of phone you have)

3.  Consult the documentation that came with your phone.
