How to Update Your Catalog in the SAGE Supplier Center
The information in this section will help you update your catalog in the SAGE Supplier Center. Please review this information very carefully before you begin editing your information. Failure to follow these guidelines may result in a delay in your information being added to our product research tools.

General Notes:
Step 1: Get Started
To update your catalog from the SAGE Supplier Center, go to the Supplier Profile and Catalog section from the left side menu.
When viewing your supplier profile, click on the Catalog tab. You will see your current catalog year information at the top of the screen. You will see introductory instructions on the left of the screen and a series of steps on the right of the screen. Please read the on-screen directions carefully before you begin.
Step 2: Set Catalog Year
If you are adding a new catalog, you must first identify the new catalog by clicking the "Set Catalog Year" button. You will be asked for the new catalog year as well as the new catalog's expiration date.
When you set a new catalog year, all your old catalog's information will still be available so that you do not have to re-enter it. As part of the update process, you will be asked to view, update, and verify each product from your old catalog. You will not be able to finish the product update process until every item has been viewed, updated, verified or marked for deletion.
You should not use the "Set Catalog Year" area if you are updating a current catalog (as opposed to a new catalog) or just changing the expiration date of your current catalog. To extend the expiration date of your current catalog, click “Edit” at the lower-left of the catalog tab and change the Current Catalog Expiration Date. Then click “Save” at the bottom. To update a current catalog, go directly to the “Edit Products” area to review and update your current catalog.
Step 3: PDF Upload
Distributors can download and view your catalog as a PDF from SAGE Workplace Windows app, SAGE Workplace web app and SAGE Workplace mobile app. In addition to adding your catalog pages and products, please upload your PDF catalog by clicking the Upload Your PDF Catalog in the bottom left of the Catalog tab. The maximum file size is 300 MB.
Step 4: Catalog Pages
In the Catalog Pages area, you will upload your catalog page images into the system. This gives distributors the ability to view a catalog page for a specific product they are interested in. You can add images either by importing image files from your computer or by scanning your paper catalog (assuming you have a color scanner). The best quality will be obtained by using image files (not a scanner). These images must be in the JPG or PNG file format.
Before uploading your images, make sure that the catalog year is correct at the top of the screen. If it is not, make sure you have gone through the "Set Catalog Year" section before going into this area (if you are entering a new catalog). If you want to add additional pages to your current catalog, then the catalog year should already be correct.
To upload your catalog page images, you must first create your image files according to certain specifications. For details, see Electronic image specifications for supplier catalogs.
Once you are ready to import your images, click the "Select Folder and Add" button. Locate the folder on your computer that contains the images and click “OK”. Your images will be imported into the system. If there are any problems with your images, a message will be displayed telling you what the problem is.
After the process is done, you'll see the new catalog page images listed in the index at the left of the screen. To view a page in the index, double-click it. If you need to delete any pages from your catalog, select the pages to delete and then click the "Delete Page" button at the bottom.
When you are done uploading your catalog page images, click the "Done" button at the bottom.
Please Note: You should enter ALL your catalog page images before going into the Products area. You will only be able to enter products on a catalog page if that page has been added to the system.
Step 5: Product Defaults
In this area, you can set defaults for your products. These defaults will apply to all new products that you add to the system. You can also reset fields -- which will set all your products (even currently-listed products) to the default value.
See: How to Update Your Products in the SAGE Supplier Center for a description of the various fields. Remember that your default should be the value that will apply to most of your products. You will have the ability to change from the default value to something else when editing or adding specific products.
If you would like to reset all your current products to the default value as well, check the "Reset" box next to the field that you want to reset and click the "Reset" button at the bottom.
Step 6: Edit Products
To read about how to edit your products in the SAGE Supplier Center See: How to Update Your Products in the SAGE Supplier Center.
Step 7: General Info
This area contains all your general information. Fill in as much information as possible, including all general charges that you may have. To include information in this area, it must be applicable to your entire catalog. If there are specific charges or information for specific products, it can be entered in the Options or Comment field for the specific products that are affected.
General information is case-sensitive. Therefore, be sure to use proper sentence case when entering your information. Do not use all lower case or all upper case. You may use the following abbreviations in general information:
LTM = Less than minimum
EQP = End quantity pricing
FOB = Freight on board
N/C = No charge
INCL = Including
Step 8: Completing Update
After entering your general information, you're done updating your catalog. If you need to make changes later, you can do so by returning to this area in the SAGE Supplier Center.
